Every wine lovers attention seems to turn to the Veneto region in the warm summer months. One explanation could be the renewed interest in the sparkling wine of that region. Prosecco is that wine- fun, sparkling, light in alcohol, and extremely enjoyable either as is or in a variety of mixed drinks. What better way to cool down on a warm afternoon than a glass of Mionetto Prosecco. Mionetto has been producing Prosecco since 1887 and for my taste buds they are the best of the best.
This week's wine of the week is Mionetto Prosecco Brut. Produced from Prosecco grapes sourced from the Veneto region, it is light on the palate with hints of green apples and pears.
